MPhA offers a number of membership options to meet the needs of the pharmacy community! Our membership levels begin during pharmacy school and last through retirement. We also offer packages for non-pharmacy professionals to meaningfully participate in the Association.

MPhA partners with the Massachusetts Independent Pharmacists Association for a joint membership. Independent Pharmacy owners and managers can join as individuals or as a store, and include up to 6 individual memberships.

Membership Types


Registered Pharmacist

A person who has completed the education requirements to be a pharmacist and is licensed to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts, or an individual who holds an earned degree in pharmacy and is qualified to become licensed to practice pharmacy in Massachusetts. The member may vote in any election and at the business sessions of the Annual Meeting and is eligible to hold an elective office in the Association. $150 Annually/$14 Monthly



New Practitioner

A person who has graduated from pharmacy school (first licensure degree) within the last year. A New Practitioner member shall be entitled to all rights, privileges, and services of the Association and shall be invoiced as a registered pharmacists upon first renewal year. $75 Annually- Limited to one year



Resident or Fellow

A person who has graduated from pharmacy school and is enrolled in a residency or fellowship program.  A Resident or Fellow practitioner member shall be entitled to all rights, privileges, and services of the Association. $50 Annually, Limit to two years


Pharmacy Technician

A person who has registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a pharmacy technician. A Pharmacy Technician member shall be entitled to all rights, privileges, and services of the Association. Free


Pharmacy Student

A student who is enrolled in an accredited program of study in a school of pharmacy. A Student member shall be eligible for services of the Association and may serve on Committees of the Association. Free


Retired Pharmacist

A pharmacy who has worked in any area of the industry for a minimum of twenty years and who now no longer practices in any recognized pharmacy setting or capacity where pharmacy licensure is required.  The person must have been an active member for the last three consecutive years prior to application for retired status.  A Retired member is entitled to all rights, privileges, and services of the Association. $60 Annually


Non-Pharmacist Associate/Supportive Member

Any non-Pharmacy professional or company representative that would like to meaningfully contribute to the organization through events and volunteerism. $150 Annually
